Metchosin Agricultural Forum - Friday, April 29 1:00-5:00pm Bilston Creek Farm

A Metchosin Agricultural Forum is planned for Friday, April 29, 2022 at 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm for the Farmers of Metchosin and East Sooke.

This event is being graciously hosted by Bilston Creek Farm; 4185 Metchosin Road, Victoria, BC V9C 3Z5.

All farmers, agriculturists, and farm workers from small or large farms in Metchosin are welcome to attend. The purpose of this information meeting and forum is to gather all the farmers of Metchosin to meet again and to greet some new members of our community. This forum will also provide an opportunity to continue the discussions and conversations regarding the future of farming in Metchosin, and to move towards discussing a formalized, Metchosin-centric Agriculture plan. This event has been endorsed by a sub committee of the Metchosin Agricultural Advisory Select Sub-Committee (AASC); the Forum Planning sub-committee is composed of members of the AASC and Jackie Larkin, a Metchosin resident, an adult educator and the facilitator for the event.

The forum will be restricted to ~100 people given the size of the venue and restrictions due to the COVID pandemic. Representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, and Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resources will be presenting at the event.
