CRD Information Bulletin
Fore Immediate Release
February 18, 2025
Victoria, BC - More than 430,000 people in the region rely on clean, drinkable water from the Regional Water Supply Service every day. The water we enjoy is the direct result of strategic planning and careful investments made over the course of many decades. The Capital Regional District (CRD) is updating its long-term strategy for enhancing and protecting this invaluable resource for generations to come.
To guide its development, residents are invited to share their thoughts on the draft Regional Water Supply Strategic Plan, which will be used to ensure the continued delivery of safe, reliable, high-quality water to the region.
The strategic plan outlines how the CRD plans to manage, maintain, and safeguard the water supply, transmission system, and water supply catchment lands servicing households in Greater Victoria over the next five to ten years.
A virtual information session will be held on Thursday, March 6 at 6:00 pm for those who wish to learn more.
Residents are invited to complete a survey to provide their feedback on the strategic plan. The survey closes March 31 at 11:55 pm. Responses will be considered by the CRD Regional Water Supply Commission as part of the final review process.
